Our God is a God of abundance and He loves to give. He sacrificed willingly on the cross and then invited us into fullness of life. As His children, we are called to imitate Him. Our generosity in giving is a demonstration of God’s character and a response to what He has done for us.
Giving is a form of our worship and is how we equip the church with resources to accomplish our mission of being a biblically healthy church that glorifies God by making disciples and advancing the gospel.

Clearing Out the Clutter

As most of our church family knows, we are in the process of moving. After over four months of serving here as pastor, we are finally moving to the community. I must say, my wife and I are very excited to soon be living in the community to which God has called us to minister. A 45 minute drive to and from church has made things a bit challenging to say the least.

What Can God do?

Have you ever asked the question – What can God do? Of course, the common Sunday School answer is, “God can do anything and everything He chooses to do”. But let’s move past this common answer and dig a little deeper. In your personal life, your marriage, your family, your job situation, your relationships, your finances…. what can God do? Do you live in such a way that you could honestly answer that question with the common answer of “God can do anything”?

Too Much Competition?

I have been noticing something over the past several years that causes concern. Now, before I share my concern, I must admit that I am biased in my assessment. My bias comes from the fact that I have been in full time Christian ministry for a very long time, over 40 years to be more specific. Being a pastor just naturally lends itself to the bias to which I am confessing. You’ll understand as I share my concern.

Are You Registered to Vote?

Ok, before you get too worked up, I’m not going to be political with this blog entry. I’m just a little perturbed with a recent statistic I read that said the vast majority of evangelical Christians aren’t even registered to vote, and those who are, only a very small percentage actually vote. That’s just hard for my brain to comprehend!

Change Is In The Air!

Did you ever get the feeling that God was up to something special? I have that feeling! I guess anything God does is special, but you know what I mean. God is up to something extra special at FBC, St. Clair! And don’t you think it’s time?
